Upon the invitation of Viktoria Slavkova, chairwoman of the WG for sports of the Bulgarian EU Council Presidency, CEO Severin Moritzer participated at the informal meeting of the EU Sport Directors in Sofia in mid-June.

As part of the forthcoming handover of the EU Council Presidency to Austria, Barbara Spindler-Oswald, as delegate of the Austrian Federal Ministry for the Civil Service and Sport, spoke about the priorities of the Austrian Presidency in European sports.

In addition to a presentation on the latest efforts against match-fixing and integrity in sport in the Austrian and international context, Severin Moritzer presented the Play Fair Code as an established and Europe-wide recognized association in the prevention work against match fixing and betting fraud. Special attention was drawn to a brief look into the world of eSports and the strategic direction of the Play Fair Code in terms of this economic and social phenomenon.
